Are you ready to open your heart and home to a special pup in need? Look no further than Gus, our lovable approx. 9-month-old furry friend who's patiently waiting for his forever family. Gus might be a bit timid at first, but don't let that fool you – he's got a heart of gold and a personality that's just waiting to shine!
Gus has had a unique journey, spending his early months in a shelter with minimal human interaction. As a result, he's a bit nervous around new faces and can be vocal when he feels unsure. But fear not, because Gus is a quick learner! He's been working hard to overcome his shyness, and with patience and consistent correction, he's learning to respond to commands like "quiet" and "good boy."
Despite his initial hesitations, Gus is an absolute sweetheart once he gets to know you. Once you sit down and spend some quality time with him, he's all about cuddles, kisses, and forming a deep bond. He's shown his affectionate side to kids aged 6 months to over 10 years old, proving that he's got room in his heart for everyone.
Gus has been friendly with the other dogs in the home but recently did show it may be to soon, so he is back to more decompression and working with one of our trainers. Rescue will continue his training with his new family for an additional 6 sessions.
