Meet Gus
Hello handsome..this is Gus! This dashing 4.5-year-old fawn male Great Dane is ready to find his forever family!
Gus came to us as an owner surrender at a local shelter, and while we don’t know why, we do know this: he’s a sweet, loyal boy with so much love to give.
Gus is currently thriving in his foster home with his foster dad, his 11-year-old son, a senior diva Dane named Maggs (the undisputed queen of the household), and occasionally other foster female Danes. Gus adores his humans, especially his kiddo. He follows him around the house, always ready to snuggle up on the couch together and get some lovins.
Gus also respects Maggs' royal status and loves playing with the other ladies who come and go in the home. He's not a fan of dominant dogs though, he doesn't put up with alpha behavior.
Gus is a talker! His deep, booming voice might sound intimidating, but don’t be fooled—it’s just his way of saying, “Hey, I’d like some cuddles, please!”
He’s a couch potato who loves lounging and hanging out, but he’s not much of a bed snuggler.
Gus is leash-trained and crate-trained, making him a great walking buddy and a secure housemate. Gus has a wonky gait due to a congenital issue but he gets around great!
Gus would thrive in a family with no other dominant dogs. He does best with laid-back, submissive females. He’s incredibly loving and playful with the right canine companions and always respects the pack dynamic once everyone’s settled. With a little time and effort, Gus will shine as the diamond he’s meant to be!
Are you the family Gus has been waiting for? He’s ready to give you his whole heart in exchange for yours.
Gus is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and is on routine heartworm prevention!
His adoption fee is $350. To apply to adopt Gus and read over the adoption requirements please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt before applying.
Please Note: NWFLGDR does not transport dogs. We require all approved adopters to pick up the dog in person.
