Gunner is a terrific 2 year old, 52 pound Pit Bull Terrier mix. Sparticus, Gunner, Trixie, and Lil Man were removed from a home that was not giving them proper care. They have all found homes except for sweet Gunner. He is in a foster home this week, getting a break from the shelter. Here is what they tell us...

Gunner is a 2 year old 56 pbs pit mix. He is available for adoption through OKCAW and his adoption fee is currently waived since he has been at the shelter since AUGUST!

Adoption fees are $60, $30 or free. If the pet has been at the shelter more than 30 days, they are free. Check the INTAKE DATE on the adoption card to determine this. If the pet is 4 years of age or older OR if you adopt more than one pet, the fee is $30 for each pet. All others are $60. OKC Animal Welfare is open for adoptions from 12-5:00 Tuesday through Saturday. The shelter is at 2811 S.E. 29th St., phone # 405-297-3100.
The dog/cat adoption fee includes spay or neuter, MICROCHIP, age-appropriate shots and health check. Use pet's ID # when inquiring.
