Gunnar Pit Bull Terrier Mix Sparta, WI

Meet Gunnar! Gunnar is a lovable 9 (ish) year old male Pit Bull type mix who was left behind by his owner and is hoping to find a new one to retire with.

Gunnar is the sweetest, most friendly ol' guy you could meet! He absolutely adores humans and would love someone who can give him a soft dog bed and a good retirement plan. This plan can include leisurely strolls through the neighborhood, hanging out on the deck with his family, and sun bathing.

Gunnar is potty trained and should do well around other pets and children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised, and energy levels are compatible. He already knows basic commands and is happy to 'slowly' earn his treats! He does appear to be a bit head shy when we raise our hands up above his head, so we're not sure what he's experienced in the past but he's incredibly gentle and polite, so we think he will easily adjust once he's out of the shelter environment.

Gunnar visited the vet where he had bloodwork and updated vaccines - he was a perfect gentleman and rode nicely in the car on the way, too! He's just a sweet old man pibble who deserves the love of a family for the rest of his days. If you're open to giving an older fella a cushy bed in a nice quiet home, Gunnar would love to meet you! He is neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative.
