Meet Grover

Look into Grover's eyes and prepare to be mesmerized- and to play ball! Grover is an adorable little Lab/Dachshund (or possibly Bassett) mix who is hanging here in Maine in foster. He is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs 38 lbs. He came to us via the shelter in Fort Worth. We were told that Grover was dog friendly in Texas but we have not seen that here- he seems to prefer being the king of his own castle and can be a bit reactive on leash so his adopters will need to work with him on that. He will need a home where he is the only dog. We are not sure how he is with cats but would assume he should also probably go to a home without cats. Despite wanting to be Top Dog, his foster says he's pretty perfect: "He's a wonderfully sweet, intelligent and loving cuddle-buddy. He's fantastic! So sweet, gentle and smart!" So if you are looking for a buddy who is maybe not into other dogs but really into playing ball, Grover might be your man!
