Meet Groot!

Recently Groot enjoyed an action packed day outside of the shelter with a wonderful CACS volunteer. Special adventures like this provide valuable information about a shelter pet, which is extremely helpful to shelter staff,
as well as potential adopters.

Groot was a very good boy and here are the highlights of his busy day!
?Adventure to Petco. Picked out a chewy, met three dogs and interacted very well, received pets and attention from a human.
?Went on a neighborhood walk.
?Uninterested in cats.
?Interested in chipmunks.
?Loved drinking from the outside water faucet.
?Enjoyed lunch on McAllister’s patio. Chewed on his chewy, laid down for a nap, and was never interested food. Met several people, received lots of pets, and loved the attention.
?Absolutely loved playing fetch in the house.
?Snores when he sleeps.
?Does well on car rides.
?House trained.

Groot is a very nice dog! He will be an excellent dog for someone who can overlook his nervousness and sadness in the shelter and be patient with him as he learns to live in their home and settle in.
