Meet Gracie
Check out this sweet girl - meet Gracie!
Gracie is a 7 y/o undocked Rottweiler. We brought her to Imagine FURever Ranch from a kill shelter in Wichita. On her ride to KC from Wichita, our volunteer stopped at PetSmart to get Gracie a new collar, and Gracie behaved wonderfully. She successfully interacted with dogs (both big and small), children, and cats, even showing her belly for some scratches.
From our volunteer: "Gracie is dog friendly - even when the other dogs aren't. She's a 'live and let live' kinda girl. She doesn't let the grouchiness of others get her down. Submissive isn't the right word - she's just a big dog that doesn't need to prove she's a big dog."
There were some pretty severe storms that moved through KC during her first weekend in the metro, and Gracie slept peacefully right through them.
Gracie loves pets, butt scratches, ear scratches, and rolling in the grass. She's grateful for any show of love. You can tell she's lived in a good home in the past. She seems to understand "sit". She doesn't eat like it may be her last meal - it's simply, "Hey! Breakfast!" She takes treats gently and then drops them and she doesn't seem interested in toys.
Gracie has have mild hip dysplasia, but it doesn't slow her down at all. She's good with stairs and loves going to the dog park. Physical touch is her love language. ?? Well, that, and CAR RIDES!!
Gracie is living with one of our wonderful foster families, but you can setup a meet-and-greet to meet Gracie at by filling out an adoption application here: https://imaginefureverranch.org/form-pages/become-a-furever-home/
