WHAT A SMART YOUNG LADY!! Grace came into our rescue as an owner surrender several months ago. From the first time we met her, we knew she was such a smart girl who wanted to please humans. She came from a home where there were no others into a foster home with many others and she handled herself very well. She learned to play gently with puppies (she treats them like her babies) - she learned to respect the order of the pack and not to challenge the senior babies.
Grace has proven to be incredibly smart. She is EXTREMELY treat motivated and will show off her ability to sit and shake with both paws (just ask for which one you want). She is house broken but we remind everyone that just because she is at her foster home, does not mean she will immediately be that way in her new home. There are lots of new things to know and learn once adopted and where the bathroom is and how to get there, is one of them!
Grace is fully vetted including spay and microchip. She is current on all of her preventatives and heartworm negative.
If Grace has a negative, it is her energy on a leash. She gets so excited that she wants to just take off instead of walking next to you BUT...EACH and EVERY time she attends an event, within 15 minutes of walking her around and reminding her what she needs to do, she gets with the program and you have no more problems.
She enjoys a good car ride and meeting new people. She loves kids (but her energy level is high so you need to watch her with little ones so she doesn't accidentally knock them down).
Grace would be a wonderful addition to a home with older children or a home with another dog she could play with and/or if you are active and like to walk, hike etc...Grace is your girl!! Her willingness to make her people happy and her love of food makes her very easy to train and makes for a wonderful companion.
