Meet Gonzo--In Foster
Hi all! I'm a sweet old man that was rescued from the pound. They don't know my story, but what they saw was that my body has definitely seen better days. I have an old leg injury that is healed, and then they saw a bump on my back that they removed, and then they tested me for heartworm, and said I came back positive. I went through treatment for it and I am now cleared and heartworm negative!
Since arrival, I have loved everyone I've met (minus when they are poking me, but even then, I'm a pretty good boy), and I met a cat and was really confused by it. I'm curious about dogs but they are worried that the other dogs will jump on me and hurt me with my leg, but if you have a calm dog, we could try it and see how it goes. Let the shelter know if you'd like to meet me; I'll be waiting for you!
