Name: Godiva
Nicknames: Diva, Mama
Age or Date of Birth: 1 Year
Activity Level: Low to moderate
Things Godiva enjoys: She play wrestles in the gentlest way. She is a destroyer of stuffed toys. She loves to chew on antlers, Nylabones, Benebones, and Kongs. She is a chewer and will need chew toys to keep her busy.
Things Godiva knows: Sit and comes when called. She is eager to please and will be a joy to train. She goes in her kennel reluctantly but on her own. She walks very nice on a leash
Things I am learning/currently working on: Confidence building
Who Godiva currently lives with (humans and animals): Godiva currently lives with one adult human and a calm senior dog.
How Godiva does with kids: She has not been around kids to my knowledge, but I have no concerns with her being around children. She is so sweet, gentle, playful, and loving.
How Godiva does with dogs: So far, she has been non-reactive with my resident dog. We had a successful short dog introduction after a nice long walk together. Will update as I know more.
How I do with cats: She does have a prey drive with bunnies and squirrels but to my knowledge has not been cat tested.
My current size: 40-45 pounds
How I do in my kennel: She is quiet in her kennel when she can see you but barks when she can't see you. She calms down rather quickly though. She also comes out of her kennel calmly.
How I do in car rides: Love them!
Am I house trained?: Yes. No accidents so far.
Additional Info from foster: So far, I have no concerns with her behavior or medical-wise. She seems very sweet natured with a happy-go-lucky personality. She does submissive pee upon meeting new people. I am hoping with training and confidence building that will go away. She does jump up, but I have been turning my back to her every time. She settles rather quickly. Her jump up is also gentle. I would not be concerned about her knocking anyone over BUT still a behavior that should be corrected. She loves to snuggle and be rubbed all over, too. She will make someone a very nice dog. She is smart, too. She responds to 'Diva" very well, comes when called, sits nicely when asked to sit, takes treats gently, she is eager to please.
