Meet Gizmo!

Gizmo, affectionately known as Gizzy, is a 7-month-old puppy mill rescue weighing 8 pounds. When he first came to us, he didn't know how to eat or drink from a bowl or play with toys.

Gizmo has made remarkable progress since then. Now, when he sees his food dish, he dances with excitement and quickly cleans his plate. Watching his foster siblings play, he learned to enjoy toys too. He loves raiding the toy bin and scattering toys around the house, though his favorite pastime is dragging throw rugs everywhere—a habit we're working on breaking.

Potty training is going well, and Gizmo is learning to signal when he needs to go outside. He uses potty pads indoors for emergencies. Gizmo's grooming needs are manageable; he handles brushing several times a week and behaves well at the groomers.

Currently, Gizmo is being trained to walk on a leash. He's still a bit insecure with all the steps involved, but he stays close to his human during walks. A fenced yard is ideal for Gizmo, as he loves running with his fur buddies.

Gizmo would thrive in a home with another small or medium-sized dog for companionship. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy, Gizmo is perfect. He's an adorable little boy who gives kisses freely and often, bringing joy, smiles, and love into any home.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
