Gets Along With: Ginger gets along with other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them.

Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up here

Ginger is Looking For: There are dogs. And there are Dogs. Ginger is a Dog.

With Dogs, you simply let your hand drop to your side - above your waist, even, and their head is right there. You give a pat and murmur - good girl. You have a vehicle with a large cargo area and a ramp up to it because your Dog would bonk their head on the roof of the car if it tried to jump in instead of walking up and ducking its head at the entrance.

With a Dog like Ginger, you get the physical size - and the magnified amount of physical contact and love. Some Dogs fully expect to be on laps, and a prerequisite of being a human to a Dog is giving them that lap.

With Ginger, you get So Much Dog. So much presence. So much love, so much loyalty. And all she asks for in exchange is knowing she's safe and loved and under her own roof, a big bed (you don't even have to buy a new one - yours will do), and quality kibble.
