GINGER Pit Bull Terrier Mix Hamilton, NJ

Ginger is an 8 year old female Pit Mix that is being rehomed due to her family moving to a place they cannot take her. Ginger was raised with another female Pit Mix as well as a cat and did well with both of them. Ginger is 8, but is still very active and loves long walks. Ginger’s family says that she is very sweet and a super cuddle bug. She loves toys and playing fetch. She likes to chase squirrels in the yard, too, but thanks to her humans, she hasn’t ever caught one! Ginger’s favorite snacks are cheese and vegetables.

Ginger’s housemates have already been rehomed and she is feeling the stress of that and all the changes going on around her. She would love a family that has an established routine that she can begin to fit in with. She is not crate trained, but does well in the house and doesn’t need to be. She is great with people, big and small, but can be a bit of a jumper. (We like to call her Ginger-roo since she looks like a kangaroo when she's jumping). She is very trainable and loves to work for treats! She is already doing great learning commands and respecting her handlers at Petsmart adoption events! She is house trained, spayed microchipped, heartworm and lymes negative, and up to date with vaccines.

Applicants must live within 60 min of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified.
