Georgie Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix Abbotsford, BC

Georgie is about 16 months old and is 50lbs. She is a very sweet and loving girl who’s easy to have at home. Georgie loves to snuggle and is very playful, either with her people, dogs, or just on her own. She is not destructive or mouthy, has been crate trained but settles very well outside her crate as well. Georgie would enjoy living with another dog (or dogs) or could also be happy being an only child.

Georgie has been gaining confidence and making many new friends the last few months. Initially, she was quite nervous of new people or strangers, but has been quick to warm up to several new people and even happy to have them in her home! She will still need some training and support with this, and will likely still feel better getting to know someone new outside of her home first before they come over.

Georgie loves her doggie friends of all sizes, but can sometimes get overwhelmed when she’s first meeting them. We’ve been working on calm intros and how to ignore other dogs when we need to, and she’s been doing very well with this training.

Ideally Georgie would love a quieter home in a rural area, but would also be fine to live in a residential area in the city. She walks very well on leash most of the time (unless there’s a squirrel to chase!) and as long as she’s given a bit of space from scary things, she is happy and easy going on walks.

Georgie would prefer to have company at home more often than not, however she has been comfortable with absences up to 5-6 hours.

There will be transport available to the right home in a new area, and free training support will be provided to help her settle in.
