Abandoned at a young age, Gemma has risen above her tough past and is now in search of her forever family. With her loving nature and eagerness to please, she’s ready to be the loyal companion you’ve been looking for.

Gemma gets along well with others and is a quick learner. She’s already mastered basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” “leave it,” and “off,” and she’s making wonderful strides with crate training and car rides, thanks to positive reinforcement. She’s such a good girl, always eager to please and be part of the family!

While Gemma is a true sweetheart, she does struggle with extreme separation anxiety. She’s incredibly bonded to her people and can get upset when left alone or when someone leaves her space. It’s clear that she just wants to be close to her humans, and we’re working on helping her feel more secure.

Gemma is also becoming more playful, though she’s still learning boundaries and we’re gently discouraging any mouthing behavior during play. She’s also learning to adjust to her feline friends, though her excitement can sometimes cause a little too much commotion for the cats.

Gemma is a true gem of a dog, and with time, patience, and continued positive training, she’ll become even more confident and secure. She’s looking for a family who will understand her needs and offer her the love and consistency she deserves.
