Meet Garrett
This handsome boy is Garrett!
Garrett is an approximately 19-month old male Australian Shepherd mix and weighs around 40 lbs. He was rescued from a small rural shelter after being confiscated for neglect.
Garrett is a very affectionate guy! He is a little cautious of new people and a bit shy at first, but once he knows you, he is your shadow. Garrett was in a foster home for a while (but one of the dogs in the home decided to be an ass, so Garrett is now in daycare boarding). While in foster care, he was a sweetheart and he is definitely a “shadow” dog, he loves to be by his people.
While in foster, he loved playing with toys (after he realized what they are for). He LOVES to play with other dogs (that like him), and gets his confidence from being around them, so he needs another playful dog in the home. He also needs a secure fenced back yard. He wasn’t much of a barker at the foster home.
Garrett was well on his way to being house-trained while in foster, but will probably require assistance since being in boarding. He is not a fan of crates but will settle, and definitely needs to be crated when left alone, as he was a fan of gathering up shoes and tearing up rolls of TP lol.
Garrett is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.
Garrett is currently in daycare boarding, so he qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just a foster.
