This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.

Garland is a 2 year old Brittany Spaniel x Dachshund mix ready to deck the halls with her forever family! Garland was rescued from the shelter with a few of her holiday pals. We promised to find her a perfect forever family just in time for the holidays and away we went on our sleigh ride shelter breakout! Garland weighs 25 pounds and is just the perfect size to contain all the love she has in her furry little heart! Garland can't wait to haul out the holly and make herself right at home, just in time for the holidays!

Garland is a snuggly pup who loves her people almost as much as her toys! Ok we totally lied, she loves her people more. Garland is the perfect dog for anyone looking for a pup who can join them at the office. She's ready for her 9-5! Garland loves hanging out on the couch but she also loves chasing after her tennis balls in the yard. She loves cuddling and snuggling and is always ready to curl up in your lap for some chin scratches. Garland would be thrilled to spend her days following you around on all the adventures you have planned, but she's also fine keeping herself entertained when she needs to! Garland is great at being the ideal canine best friend, as she plays hard and rests even harder. What a total dream! We can picture her now camping under the stars with her forever people, helping you make all the hot dogs and smores. Garland's dream home is one with a comfy couch, a big yard for zoomies and a family ready to take her on adventures and outings. She even loves snow and would happily throw herself into a snowbank as you build a snow dog in her likeness! She also already knows how to swim. We just can't get over how many skills this wonder pup has! She's ready to impress you from minute one.
Garland wakes up at 8:30 AM and heads out on her morning walk. She comes home and enjoys her breakfast in the kitchen and then heads to her bed for a nap. She goes to work with her foster parent and keeps herself occupied with her toys as everyone gets to work. She gets a few breaks during the workday to stretch her legs and run around with a tennis ball. In the evening, she heads home and gets an evening walk. Dinner is served at 7 PM followed by lots of cuddles and time on the couch. She loves being as close to her people as possible. She goes out for one last potty around 11 PM and then heads to her crate for the night.
Garland would prefer to be the only dog in her forever home, as she can be standoffish when she first meets other pups. If she has a slow introduction, she would be ok as a sibling dog. Garland is potty trained and crate trained. Garland can't wait to meet you because she knows you'll be hooked from minute one!
