And now a few words from me: Hi! I'm Gambit . I came from a shelter where I was not at my best. I was acting aggressively and they thought I would do better in a rescue. Now that I have a home, a bed, and am getting lots of attention and walks, I'm nice and calm! I don't know what came over me before... but I'm sure glad I'm gone from that place! I love to go for walks (I have learned to not pull on the leash), I love other people, other dogs, and toys! I am learning that jumping up is not polite, but I just get so excited to see you! I'm housetrained and I won't get into the garbage! I know sit, shake a paw, lie down, and I'm learning to roll over! I also love to swim and chase sticks! My recall is getting better and better, too. I'm a five star dog and you should definitely consider me!
A few words from Gambit 's foster mom: Gambit was an unpopular fellow at the shelter due to aggressive tendencies. He never bit but looked like he wanted to, and was not easy to approach. It must have been shelter stress, because the second his leash was in my hands and we left the shelter, he's been as good as gold! I don't think he could be anything other than the fun-loving, happy-go-lucky dog that he is! He's very smart and has lots of energy. However, when you're relaxing, he is happy to lie down next to you and take a snooze. He was originally abandoned on somebody's front lawn, and I have no idea how someone could give him up! He's so unique looking and such a lovely dog. Gambit would do very well in a family who wants to continue his training - he responds very well to solid leadership. This guy knows it all and is the biggest ham! He'd do very well in any type of home environment as he is not a barker. He is low to no shedding.
