Meet Fresno
Fresno is an incredibly sweet but shy dog who has come leaps and bounds in her socialization over the last few months. Through trust-building, bonding, adventures, and consent work, she is now extremely loving with her foster mom and adores going on outdoor adventures.
Fresno is a true nature girl/granola girl. She's never happier than when she's sniffing along a trail, playing at the beach, tossing pinecones around the forest, digging in the dirt, or rolling in the grass. She has worked hard to become more comfortable in the city, but particularly loud streets or busy places can still be stressful. Fresno would likely do best in a quieter neighborhood or out in the country, and would LOVE to be your backpacking buddy, hiking pal, or beach bestie.
While Fresno gets very nervous when approached by new people, she has never met a dog she doesn't adore. She's incredibly confident and playful with other dogs, and it's an absolute joy to watch her in her element. She would love a home with another dog who wants a playmate, but could also do well with someone who has close friends with dogs that can give her lots of weekly playdates. Fresno has spent time in a home with small dogs, large dogs, and cats, and does wonderfully with all of them. She is quite fearful of very young children when approached by them, so she'd do best in a home without children or with only older children who are extremely gentle.
Fresno is truly an incredible, sweet, silly, and loving dog who bonds tightly with her favorite people. We're looking for gentle, consent-driven, patient people who are interested in earning the trust and love of this special girl.
If you are a patient potential adopter, willing to help Fresno continue building trust in people, she may be the perfect girl for you. Please email us at
resilientheartsanimalsanctuary@gmail.com if you would like to meet her.
And please be patient. We have one adoption coordinator doing their best to coordinate adoptions for many pups.
