Meet Freckles
Meet FRECKLES!!
Look at this beautiful girl who has come so far! While setting up for OperationSato in Guayama a few months ago, Chrissy and The Sato Project team came upon this underweight freckly sato - so friendly and unafraid she came right up everybody, wanting to play.
When Chrissy learned of her backstory - that her mother was killed by a large pack of stray dogs and she was left orphaned - it became and apparent that this little sato was a special case. Plus, she was much too friendly to TNR; super approachable satos tend to do poorly on the streets, as they are not inclined to stay vigilant to threats.
Freckles is now 6 months old and weighs 24 lbs! As you can see from the video, she’s an extremely smart girl who has already mastered “sit” and “down,” and has been working hard on her leash walking.
She’s ready to fly to a new forever home! Freckles makes her way to the NJ on December 31st, so get your applications in now at thesatoproject.org/adopt
