Meet Freckles!
She can play with some energy, but bring it down and relax with a toy, or nap. She loves hugs, and will bury her face in your arm, or neck...wherever her little head is reaching at the moment of hugs. She seems to be working hard on manners. Very precious temperament. She makes you want to be sure she feels happy and loved.
Basics: She is a spayed female guessed to be around 10 months old and she weighs close to 40lbs. She is currently in a foster home in Michigan City, IN with 6 other dogs of all ages and sizes
Adoption Process:

- One of our team members will get back to you via phone.
- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports.
