Frank Mixed Breed Madison, WI

Hello, my name is Frank! I recently arrived from a shelter in Tennessee where I was picked up as a stray. It's very likely I was someone's pet before as I'm a very friendly guy who is housetrained, and I (sometimes) seem to know 'sit'. I've been told I'm an absolute sweetie. I love affection from people and I like to snuggle next to you and sleep. My dream home would be one where I could cuddle up by my owner's side on the couch and get some gentle pets. I'm a low to medium energy type dog. I need a little leash work in that I don't like being pulled by the collar, but I am doing much better with a harness. At about 20 lbs I'm pretty small, so even though I need some practice with walks I am not too hard to control. I mainly like following you around, anyway. I am pretty skinny right now but I should put on a bit more weight with regular food. I have been living with cats and dogs in my foster home. I am friendly with other dogs in general. I am not very playful yet but I have played a little bit of chase in the yard with the other more playful dog here but haven't shown any interest in toys or tug. When I get excited while playing I can be vocal, and I actually have a deep bark for such a little guy. I'd probably do best with other dogs that don't constantly want to play, but that could change as I settle in. I am great with cats - mostly I ignore them or at most give them a sniff. I'll let cats or dogs alike lie down next to me for a nap, and I am not protective over my food. I can be crated though I probably don't need it. I've been non-destructive and, as mentioned above, I'm housetrained. I will whine quietly in the crate for a bit but I quickly settle. I like going outside to sniff things. I sometimes jump on new people because I'm excited, but I'm already getting better about it. I am not afraid of new people and will come over to greet them when they visit. I met a baby and was well-behaved. I haven't met older kids yet but there's a good chance I'd be good around them too since I'm a sweet, gentle boy. I tolerated my bath pretty well despite making some 'sad dog' noises. I would fit in with many different types of families since I am a pretty easygoing, friendly guy. Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $400. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.
