Meet Nelson aka King
Meet King aka Nelson but I call him Speedway. He is the most happy-go-lucky friendly innocent dog one can ever meet. He is a joy, everyone is a friend, knows no strangers, and views life with smiles and joyful energy. His view in life is rainbows, butterflies, and ponies with love for every breathing creature. Nelson is a socially outgoing playful happy social butterfly.
He is good with all humans and critters of all ages sizes and species. A bit too much for most cats so a home without them is best. He is active and a home that will help him learn, keep up with his energy, dedicated, and adventurous is best.
Nelson loves to run, but walks are acceptable. Playgroups are best, outdoor adventures are awesome, and agility can be too. But mostly dogs. He needs a home with plenty of playful dogs with lots of space to run, or a dedicated playgroup with other doggos, a fence in the yard is preferred but an active walker jogger runner is ok too.
He is quiet, not a huge barker, and not destructive as long as his needs are met. Exercise!
Nelson is very people, praise treats food, and toy motivated. He is extremely smart and quickly learns things. Training tricks agility is his kind if fun. He is a visual learner and picks up things quickly. He is happy and healthy with an outgoing adventurous heart.
Nelson is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & Lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
Previous adopters of AHRs have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. Donation of their choice is welcomed.
Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.
Adoption process information and adoption application can be found on our website animalhousesanctuary.org

Suggested Donation Adoption Fee of $400 to help cover some of all of the above-mentioned and everyday needs/care.
