ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 60 lbs

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Fiona was in a playgroup with several medium- to large-sized dogs. She was playful.

KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how they are with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information!

KNOWN WITH KIDS: She has such a sweet demeanor that we think she will do well with children

KNOWN COMMANDS: Sit, come, down, and paw

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Fiona returns to her crate following treats and settles nicely and is house trained. Fiona functions very well with 3-4 scheduled outings per day. Fiona automatically goes to her crate when she wants to be left alone or predicts that the household is leaving.

KNOWN LIKES: Attention, treats, couches, walks

KNOWN DISLIKES: Has not shown an interest in toys; only human interaction

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Fiona was rescued from one of our rural shelter partners, initially weighing 80 pounds, but she has successfully reduced her weight to 65 pounds. She enjoys going for walks, and her energy noticeably increases when she anticipates being outdoors. Fiona is well-behaved on her leash. Although she is selective with her food, it is likely that her previous home indulged her excessively. Fiona tends to sleep often, particularly when left alone. She adores receiving attention; when you begin to pet her, she will gently nudge you with her nose or paw to encourage you to continue. Fiona displays a suitable level of excitement when her household members return home; she will wake up to greet them and seek attention without jumping or barking. The only sound she makes is her gentle snoring.
