Finn Yellow Labrador Retriever & Hound Mix Spencer, IA

Finn has unfortunately been returned to our shelter. He originally came in as a stray, and we believe he is a lab / hound mix around 3 years old.

Finn is an AMAZING dog, but he needs a very specific home. He needs someone that will be committed and not give up on him, despite some of his behavioral issues. Finn has terrible anxiety, but can you blame him? This poor guy has been through so much. He is being medicated to help him with his anxiety, but it is hard to really see if it’s working in a shelter environment. Finn needs to be in a home with no kids, but can be with other female dogs. Actually, he really enjoys the company of a dog and it helps him feel less anxious. Finn can also get overstimulated very fast, so it is ideal to pay attention to the way he is acting and give him space.

Finn loves going on runs, playing with his best friend Annie, and of course getting a ton of love from his humans. He also likes to be outside-it can be hard to get him back inside at times. Finn would love someone that will exercise with him, and spend lots of time outdoors.
