Foster Parent Report – September 2024

It’s puppy city at the rescue right now. Hi everyone. My name is Fig Newton and my Foster Mom calls me Figgy. I am full of the cutest energy ever put on the planet. I am a 4 month old, male, 4 lb, neutered, white and tan Terrier X. I am the happiest little guy and everything in the world is fascinating to me. I enjoy everything that moves and even things that don’t. I love all the dogs at the foster home and I play really well with them. I am small with little legs but I can run really fast so I chase after them everywhere so I can be involved in all the shenanigans. My wiry hair and floppy ears fly back with the wind while I am running to catch up with them.

I am a puppy and I have to learn everything. I am trying really hard to go outside to do my business but sometimes I just can’t make it. You will have to teach me how to do this at your house. I can race up and down the stairs and I love to go outdoors. I like to play and play and then I sleep to get the energy to do it all over again. I can find amusement in any toy whether its a stuffy with a squeaker or a rope toy that I can swing around. Kongs are also great chew toys for me. I am still learning that a harness and leash are supposed to take me for a walk and are not play toys. Basically, you will have to teach me everything, so you will have to have the time to help me be the wonderful little boy I can be. It’s a good thing I love food and treats so I can be bribed to learn all new things. I am so eager to learn and I find everything interesting. I am also a very smart little boy so you can take me to puppy classes where I can shine and show off that I will be the smartest in the class.

I have sharp little puppy teeth which means everything goes in my mouth right now. I have to experience my new universe, but I also settle down and love to cuddle with you. Rubbing my belly is a plus as well.

I am a sweet puppy, but a puppy I am, who will have to learn as I grow but am quite smart and will catch onto things quickly.

Applicants must be within 3 hr driving distance from Hamilton ON, and reside in Canada
