Meet Fessa

Wondering what the name "Fessa" means? Easy peasy: Friendly, endearing, sweet, smart, adorable - this pretty much describes me to a T. I was found as a stray here in our nation's capital, and I am so glad someone called the nice Animal Care and Control officers, because this life on the streets, nation's capital or not, was not for me. When I came to the shelter, I still was quite nervous and scared, but then the staff just kept showing up with yummy treats, and I started to like them a lot and was able to show my silly goofy self to them.

At four years old, I am over the crazy puppy years, but still young. I am also of a most practical size at about 35 pounds. So, what's not to love? A friendly and endearing dog in her best years -- it doesn't get better than that!
