Hey, I’m Fancy - a friendly 1 ½ year-old gal who is all about people, snuggling up real close and exploring. Before Pet Haven, I was a free-roaming spirit on the rez; I love the outdoors, taking in all the wildlife around me!

I have been enjoying daily walks too! A fun story for you (not so much for my fosters at the time!) – I may have had some run-ins with a porcupine while exploring as I tend to be too interested in the forest creatures. So, I do need to be leashed when outside to avoid undesirable encounters with little forest beings. A fence would be great so I can enjoy the outdoors off-leash, but if not, leashed walks each day are perfect too!

When I’m not outside adventuring, I love cozying up on a soft, cushy bed with my people around me. Add a treat to that scenario and I’m in Heaven! I also loved taking an obedience class which showed me that I have smarts and love to learn! My foster fam has been continuing the training at home so that I can be the best dog that I can be.

And guess what?! I am great for my crate! My fosters aren’t away often because they work from home, but when they are, the crate and I are cool. I also live with two dogs who are teaching me the ropes. I’m kind-of bossy with them, but my humans and dog brothers are helping me to relax and be respectful.

I also live when a teenager; it took me longer to warm up to him, but because he is an experienced and respectful with dogs, it didn’t take long. So, I think I would do well in a home with 6+ year-old kids and respectful dogs.

So, I mentioned that I’m a people-dog, but it’s for real! My people are as important as my food – no joke! I love soaking up attention and making new friends. In the end, I am looking for a loving household that’ll take me on adventures and shower me with affection! Now that you know more about me, I would love to meet you - let’s get something on the books!





Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.

Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
