Eugene Husky Paris, ME

Eugene is a 3 year old Husky. He came to us as a stray.

Eugene loves to talk and is working on his leash manners. He is extremely smart and is food motivated and eager to learn. He knows basic commands and takes treats very gently. He is also house trained. Eugene is very friendly and has quickly become a staff favorite.

Eugene will need to go to a cat free home, there is a potential that he can go to a home with another dog. Eugene has shown dominating behaviors with other dogs, so it will depend on the dog. Meet and greet with all dogs in the home are required before adoption. Eugene can go to a home with older kids (15+) but he is too much for younger children.

As a Husky, he will need an active home and the willingness to help him express his energy in productive ways so he does not acquire behaviors in the future due to the frustration of being a working breed without a job. He has great potential with the right owner who is willing to take on the responsibility of owning a husky.

Eugene is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and ready for adoption.
