Hello black lab lovers. My name is Ernie and I am a 10-11 month old lab mix that is neutered, chipped and up to date on my shots. I have a shiny black coat with a white speckled chest. I weigh 53 lbs.

I have a tail to tell. I was on an adventure, just taking in the sites when I ended up on an orchard property in Zillah about 3 months ago along with my side kick (brother) Bert. Well next thing we know the owner of the orchard picked us up and took us to the doctor to be checked out and while there, we got vaccinated and chipped right away.

We are friendly with other dogs and love to play. We have been exposed to cats, and will chase with the pack, but I'm fine with the cats alone. I will chase wabbits on the property, so I don't think I should be around those rascally wabbits. I have been with children and I do fine with them. I have not been in the house or a crate so I need to work on that, because I want to be a house guy and be with my family as a companion. So for now, I am an outside guy that stays in a fenced in property. So nobody knows if I am housetrained. I still need to improve my leash walking. I also would like to learn commands so I can be the best guy there can be. I do not have any bad habits and I am not anxious. My caregiver says I am fun and loyal and I can be fed with other dogs. He also says I am a sweet guy (awww shucks).

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
