Enzo Schnauzer & Labrador Retriever Mix Boulder, CO

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Enzo is the puppy you want to have around! Enzo is just 2 and a half months old, and 15 lbs. Enzo is just naturally a lover... and when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt.

Farfel's received a plea from Rescued Pets Movement in Houston to save the life of Enzo's mom and her nine 2 week old puppies. All were scheduled for euthanasia due to a lack of space at the shelter. They described the mom and entire litter as healthy, wonderful and just about perfect in their temperaments and sweet personalities. We were thrilled to accept both mom and her adorable puppies into Farfel's Rescue.

Enzo is a beautiful and sweet as can be Labrador Retriever / Schnauzer mix with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Enzo's mom was found pregnant on the streets of Houston. She is a gorgeous, scruffy, 38 pound Schnauzer / Bearded Collie mix. Roxie, Enzo's mom had 9 gorgeous puppies. We don't know for sure what their dad was, but the vets believe these puppies to be part Labrador. Based off of Enzo's current age and weight, he is expected to be around 50-60 lbs. when full grown.

Enzo's foster mom had the following to brag about this sweet guy:

The irresistible Enzo is a cuddler and snuggler all the way! He of course loves to play too, as he is just a young pup. He loves to to be close on the couch for TV watching, belly rubs or just hanging out with his foster mom is just about perfect for this sweet best friend. An occasional kiss from Enzo is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very kind puppy who derives so much joy from his time spent with his favorite people and his doggy friends.

Enzo will have so much fun exploring, and taking long walks and hikes along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. Hiking and socializing with others is right down this friendly and active guy's alley. He is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude. He's a joy to be with and filled with nothing but pure love!

Farfel's would love to see our sweet Enzo in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loving and sweet puppy. We'd hate to see this social guy left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems too sensitive for that type of arrangement.

Farfel's would like to see Enzo in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important to the future behaviors of every dog that we're unwilling to adopt Enzo out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area.

Farfel's is committed to only adopting out healthy dogs. Current research is very clear that neutering prior to 9 - 12 months old is not recommended for the health of the dog. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs at that time for Enzo's neuter / microchip if one of our rescue vets is used. Neuter is required to finalize any adoption.
