Meet Enzo

Enzo was born end of December 2023. He is in foster care with his brother Wrigley. Here’s what their foster has to say!!

Enzo and Wrigley, my Shepherd Mix foster puppies, are 15 wks old and the sweetest, most loving and adorable pups you could ever meet! At 8 weeks, these soft fur balls of love with their big beautiful eyes and yummy puppy breath were found on the side of an Oklahoma road. Placing Paws Rescue rescued them immediately and I was lucky enough to get to foster:). In the time I’ve known them, I learned: Enzo and Wrigley love to play and are so much fun! They are silly, energetic (in spurts between naps of course) and hilarious! They are also really smart and learn super quickly! They sit, shake and lie down on command and both love to show off. They are curious and adventurous but also cautious… they stick pretty close to me and I don’t think they’d run if not on a leash / in a fenced-in yard (though I’ve not tested this theory). They lie down next to you when you cry (aka SENSITIVE) and follow you around the house and whimper when they see you after a week vacation (aka LOYAL) . They are a perfect combination of affectionate / cuddly and independent. Oh and did I mention they are good in their crates… and already almost fully potty trained? They even go to the door on their own. However, since neither of them are big barkers (another major plus) I ordered a bell for the door to try and I will keep you posted on progress. Also important, they are very social: good with people, including kids (though maybe bigger kids until they get a little older and / or realize they are still growing) and good with other dogs. I mean it people, I’ve fallen in love with them and would keep them if circumstances allowed. Enzo and Wrigley deserve everything. Finding that for them will be the only thing that will heal my heart when they leave and whoever gets to adopt them will be the luckiest in the world because they really are dream puppies, happy, healthy (and fully vaccinated) with SOOO much love to give!

Both Enzo and Wrigley are available for adoption through Placing Paws Rescue, either separately or together. Please help me find them an amazing forever home!! If you or someone you know is interested in learning more fill out the application today!!

If you are interested in Wrigley, the first step is to go to our website and fill out an Adoption Application. https://placingpawsrescue.org/applications/dog-application/

BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy.

SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery.

ADOPTION FEE: $425.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
