Update 11/8/2024. Emre is growing and changing and now is about five months old and weighs about 22 pounds. He is gentle and shy when meeting new people, but has the ability to bond with humans. He loves to be outdoors and playing in the yard, and is an active pup. He is looking forward to meeting a family who will be kind and gracious and take him into their hearts.

Posted 3/3/2024. Emre, Eve and Elliot, were dropped off at a shelter on the same day and thought to be littermates. That was back in December when they were about 12 weeks old. Elliot was adopted, but Emre and Eve are still in their foster home. Now these pups are about one year old, very beautiful dogs each weighing about 45 pounds. They are bonded to each other and part of a larger pack of dogs in their foster home. They tend to be nervous in new situations and will need a home with a family who has experience with dogs who are shy. It probably would be best for them to be adopted together, although it will be a challenge to move them into a new home where they will have to adapt to new people and a new situation. They are friendly and relaxed with the three adults they live with, but will need time and patience to adjust to a new home. They love being outdoors and playing in the yard with each other, they sleep with their humans at night. They enjoy going for walks in the neighborhood. They are dog friendly. But new situations are very hard for them.

As part of our adoption agreement, we require that you and your adopted canine attend a minimum of one group basic obedience course within 4 months of adoption. If adopting a puppy under 4 months old, we also require a group puppy socialization course be started immediately upon adoption.

In addition, we require that puppies under 6 months of age will not be alone for more than 4 hours at a time in an 8 hour workday. We highly encourage working families to consider older puppies and adult dogs, but if your heart is set on a puppy, please consider doggie daycare.
