Emily Basset Hound & Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix Sparta, NJ

Emily was picked up as a stray. She had puppies that someone took or kept and just left her behind. Emily is just adorable with her short little legs. She is super sweet and friendly, good with people and other dogs. Emily is a happy girl who adores belly rubs and will flop over quickly so you won't be able to give her a good rub. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Emily is about 2 years old and 33 pounds. Please help Emily find the loving home she deserves.

Update: Emily had tested positive for Ehrlicchia, another tick borne disease very similar to Lyme's. She has almost completed her course of antibiotic treatment and has done well. Emily is ready to go home!

We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).

Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Emily's adoption fee is $400. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
