This beautiful girl is Ember. How she is not adopted is truly mind blowing. She is perfect from he stunning Ice blue eyes… to her gorgeous speckled coat… to her dumpling amazing personality. You absolutely could not go wrong by making a member of your family. Ember was originally adopted as a young pup and sadly ended up in a shelter around 6 months old due to no fault of her own. We got her back around 4 months ago and she has thrived in her foster home. Ember is now 1 year old and around 40 lbs. This girl is very smart and eager to please. She wants nothing more than to be with her people and make them happy. She’s great with kids of all ages. She is playful but not hyper. She’s great with all animals and wants nothing more than to be a friend. She is perfect in the house, crate and car. She walks well on a leash, understands basic command and doesn’t have a ounce of aggression on her. She loves to explore the outdoors, romp in the water and be your adventure buddy. She’s quiet, easy going and a total lovebug. This girl has waited so long and it is time for her to find her perfect happy ever after to lay her head. Ember is a Catahoula mix who is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) spayed and ready to be your forever best friend.

All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!

Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.

Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us.
