Elton VT Shepherd & Labrador Retriever Mix Lytle, TX

This is Elton and he is a Shepherd/Lab mix. He is young 1 year old and weighs about 45 pounds. He is gentle, sweet and a little shy. We think he may have been an outside dog but he is very intelligent so he will learn quickly how nice the creature comforts of being in a house. He is decent on a leash, good in a crate, not too vocal and he warms up slowly but he does bond deeply. He would be best in a home that is not too rambunctious as he is shy. He will do great in a training class and he does well with praise. He is moderately active and when we took him in the cattery he wasn't interested in cats. He gets along with other dogs and he prefers the ones that are not overly active. He has a beautiful coat and this charming boy will make a Shepherd family a great companion. He is up on his shots, neutered, microchipped and ready for his dream home. He will go into foster care once he is adopted. The facility that has him is rural and there is not much foot traffic. He will not get adopted here so we will use the transporter Rescue Road Trips to deliver him to his East Coast Dream Home. He can be delivered to PA, MD, CT, NJ, NY, VA and VT.
