Meet Elsie, a beautiful German Shepherd mix who is looking for her new best friend! Elsie came to us as a stray but has shown that she is comfortable indoors. We believe she is housebroken, comfortable walking on a leash with a collar or harness, and will relax at your feet or snuggle up next to you on the couch after a good walk. She is the perfect work from home companion or loving presence to greet you after a long day at the office. Elsie is very social with people, loves to make new friends and is always happy to flop over for a good belly rub. Elsie has been working on her basic manners and riding in the car while she has been at the shelter. She is very smart, already having picked up basic commands, she enjoys learning and would love to deepen the bond with her family by continuing this training in her new home! We are unsure if Elsie has previously lived with other dogs and has not shown interest in interacting with other dogs while here, so we feel she would be happier being the only dog in your home for now. Elsie relaxes well inside but like any young dog she does need adequate exercise such as walks, jogs or play time everyday.
