Elroy American Bully Mix Saginaw, MI

Elroy came to us from our friends at Bay County Animal Control. He originally came to them as a stray and was reclaimed, and at that time we learned he was the son of a former Mitten Mutt (Emma- the BEST GIRL EVER) who had had a litter prior to entering our program. He was reclaimed but picked up as a stray a second time after almost getting hit by a car. The owners never came back for him. We aren't sure why because he is such a sweet boy. He was a fan favorite with the BCAC dog walkers, and he now resides in a foster home in Saginaw. His adoption fee is $200 and you can apply for him at www.mittenmuttsdogrescue.com/adopt. Elroy is a 2ish-year-old 45-50 pound amazing mix of a teddy bear and a potato. He has been great with other dogs his size and bigger, kids and people. He has done well with cats but needs supervision patience and more training with cats or small dogs. He gets a bit obsessive with them but has done well overall. He loves to be with other dogs and people. He would likely be happiest with another dog or someone who spends a lot of time with him. He does have a history of wandering so a fence would be best. He has done great with a crate and has had no accidents in the crate or house. He does well in a car. He is ok on a leash but will pull some. He knows some basic commands and is working on more. He is the snuggliest most loving, affectionate boy. He will stop what he's doing to come get a hug and cuddle.
