Meet Elliot
In Mexico over 70% of the 18 million dogs are estimated to live on the street. By adopting a Meximutt, you will not only be welcoming a loving companion but also supporting our efforts to control the street dog population and help thousands of dogs in need.

“ELLIOT” is currently in Guadalajara, Mexico in foster care. We are listing this dog for adoption now so that we can find him/her the perfect family BEFORE arriving to Oregon. Once we have an adopter lined up for this dog, we will book a flight to PDX. Please note: It can take 2-4 weeks to arrange for the dog to fly to Oregon due to the CDC and USDA customs import paperwork.

ABOUT: Meet Elliott, a 10-year-old Labrador and Shepherd mix, whose journey of bravery and love tells a story worth more than a thousand words. Weighing in at a noble 60lbs, Elliott boasts a striking coat of white and orange, a statement of his unique personality and heartwarming presence. His easy-to-maintain fur mirrors his straightforward needs: love, companionship, and the occasional adventure.
Elliott’s tale is one of heroic feats and undying loyalty. Despite the odds, he has mastered the art of joy, wearing his heart on his sleeve—or rather, on his paws. Elliott’s left hind leg may tell a story of loss, part of it missing, yet it does nothing to dampen his spirit. He runs, he plays, and most importantly, he loves with an unmatched fervor, proving that true strength lies in the heart.
As a beloved friend to both dogs and cats, Elliott showcases his gentle soul, making him a perfect addition to a home blessed with furry siblings. His calm and affectionate demeanor is a balm to the weary soul, offering cuddles, kisses, and the reassurance that everything will be okay.
Tragically, Elliott’s journey took a sorrowful turn in January 2024 when his beloved owner, Alvaro, a renowned dog rescuer in the Lake Chapala area, passed away.
Will you be the one to continue Elliott’s story of love, resilience, and companionship? Embrace the journey with Elliott, and let him show you that love knows no bounds, and together, you can conquer the world—one paw at a time.
