Ellie Australian Shepherd Easton, MD

Ellie is an 11-year-old female Aussie, fully vetted and spayed. She came to live with my family in MD when her owner died. She was 18 lbs. overweight, but we have since gotten her in shape. She went to the dog park daily with her original owner.

She does not like cats and is an alpha. She is dog selective and would be happiest as an only dog in a quiet household. She is still active and loves walks. She is reactive to trucks and needs an owner who will continue to work with her on this. She is generally good with meeting new people as long as food is involved, and the introduction is done calmly. She does have some stranger danger. She is great with my family and friends. She is not good with kids, but sweet and cuddly with adults. She does go to the groomer on a cocktail of gabapentin and trazodone to keep her calm.

She is extremely responsive to training, especially when food is involved. She is super motivated by food. Her current situation is not working out due mainly to the cats in the household.
