Elinor’s owner reports:

Elinor is a 5-year-old German shepherd mix weighing around 70 pounds. We have had her since she was a puppy, and she is the sweetest dog ever. She is very shy and does not do well with strangers, other dogs, or young children. We have worked with her extensively and found a protocol that works for her to meet new people. Elinor is the most affectionate girl and loves getting pets and belly rubs. She enjoys being in the presence of those she loves.  She is happiest when she is outside or swimming, knows many commands and follows them well. I think she would do best in a home with someone who understands her struggles and is willing to work with her, can create a safe space, and has lots of outdoor space or an active lifestyle, with no other animals or children.
