SATURDAY, JAN. 25, from 12-3 PM: Dog adoption event at PETSMART in Olathe (119th & Strang Line) with Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several dogs there looking for homes!

ELEANOR is a sweet sweet girl who's had a rough life. Her pretty little face is all scratched and scarred, and her ears have fly strikes indicating she's been tied up outdoors. Eleanor is very gentle and timid. She's sweet as can be, and needs someone to take her home and shower her with love and build her confidence and trust. She was scared to walk on a leash but is getting much better. Eleanor is good with other dogs, and she really comes out of her shell when she's outside playing in the yard with a doggie friend. She'd love to have a doggie friend in her new home. She's pictured here with Wasabi. Eleanor is 3 years old and she weighs 49 lbs. She'll be a loyal companion to the person who gives her a chance.
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
