Hi there! My name is Eddie and I'm a senior Pit Bull! It's nice to meet you. I'm a great dog looking for a loving family. Something important to know about me is that I am heartworm positive. While this is a serious condition, I can still live a long and healthy life if I get treatment. If you have pets at home, don't worry. I cannot transfer heartworms to other dogs or cats (only mosquitoes can do that), and heartworms can be prevented with a simple monthly pill or chewable.
Update! Eddie has been fully treated for heartworms and is ready to find his home! He is currently at Woof's Play and Stay in Topeka playing with other dog friends while searching for a home.
