Hi pal! I’m Dulce and I’m a female Plott Hound/Terrier/something mix. Whatever breed I am, I have a beautiful light brindle coat. I’m looking for a forever owner(s) that will give me lots of exercise and affection.
I’m about three months old and weigh about 10 lbs.
I like to play in my foster family’s fenced-in back yard: I’m usually either playful or lazy. I love playing with other dogs and people. Sometimes I get tired out and I like to find a cozy spot to nap.
I often try to play with my foster family’s other dogs: a dachshund and pug. These adult dogs don’t want to play with me though. When they let me know, I respect their boundaries.
The fenced-in back yard at my foster family’s house is great since I can run around and explore. I haven’t learned how to walk on a leash yet, but I learn quickly, and no one has tried to teach me yet!
I gladly potty outside, but I need someone to house train me. Did I mention that I’m a puppy?
When I grow up, I hope to go on long walks and hikes with my owner(s). After less than a week in our home, this dog Dulcie has learned how to walk on a leash.

We are presently not holding our regular Saturday adoption clinics due to the Covid-19 virus. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $350. Dogs over 2 years old are $250. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
