(Since I’m a baby I need home with someone home more often. Ex: work at home, retired, at home parent, work opposite, etc)

7/3/24-I love taking pictures of Duke; he’s so photogenic. The one in my kitchen were taken while I was doing some work-related work. He didn’t make a peep! He’s the perfect at-home office mate!

7/1/24-Duke had to move to another foster home yesterday due to foster family personal issues, nothing with Duke. He has settled in quite nicely. We had a house full of company and he was spreading the love to each and every person. Nobody, myself included, can understand why he hasn’t been adopted yet. He’s smart, listens and responds, energetic, happy, and playful. He loves being around people, playful with my cats, enjoys going for walks, and running around the yard. He’s not a fan of being left alone. He’s very vocal about it, too. More updates to follow as I get to know him more and provide doggy play dates.

6/29/24-Duke is sleepy from his outing yesterday. He enjoyed his car ride to watch the fireman play softball. Duke was well behaved and gave people kisses and hugs! He was not bothered by the noise or by the other dogs that were there. After the game he enjoyed a meal with the guys afterwards.

6/26/24-Duke is doing well after being neutered. The girls are keeping him company. The girls know that they can’t rough house because Duke has a weird thing around his neck..lol Duke loves other dogs and snuggling with his humans. We enjoyed a walk the night before surgery and he walks well on leash and enjoys exploring the outdoors. We also determined since he is the same weight as he came in he is really a miniature American eskimo. He has the small face and is tiny. We now estimate he will probably only be about 20 lbs full size. Duke is looking for his for his forever family. He is well loved by everyone who meets him.

6/22/24-Duke is a very sweet boy! He is being treated for a possible urinary tract infection with antibiotics. He is being neutered this Wednesday 6/26 & should be ready to go home soon after!

6/14/24-Duke likes enjoying some sunshine coming in the window. Such a precious boy just patiently waiting for his furever home.

5/31/24-Dukes is doing so well! He enjoys people, other dogs and children. Duke is getting used to going in the crate when we are not home. I do put a toy or chew in there to help him be less anxious. We are working on potty training. He enjoys going for walks and walks well on a leash. Duke is definitely a sweetheart.

5/26/24-Duke Ellington is a very smart puppy. Loves to play with other dogs and is very people friendly. He is struggling with his crate training (wants to be with the other dogs). Duke plays well with children and would make a terrific family dog.

5/25/24-Duke is typical puppy who loves to play and also sleep. He starting to go potty outside. Duke enjoy being outside and walking on leash. He has silly and loving personality. As someone who has owned Eskies in the past, he has all the qualities of true eskimo. He is smart, enjoys being with his humans, and love to chew on his toys. Duke would be great addition to anyone’s home.

5/24/24-Meet Duke Ellington. He is a 5 month old American Eskimo. He is already eating, drinking, interested in toy, the tv, and rough housing with my two dogs. He is very smart and is already learning his name. This beautiful pup is such a snuggle bug! He is awesome with small children and enjoys being around them. My nieces are 2 and 4 years old. We gave him a bath today and he loved his spa time. He enjoys being around people and other dogs. He is such a cuddly and lovable puppy. He is good with other dogs, and seems to love kids. He enjoys watching them and following them around to play. He enjoyed bathtime this morning. Later, we took him outside, and he was really good on the leash. He also seemed to enjoy playing outside and basking in sun.

05/23/24-Duke Ellington is a 5 month old standard sized American Eskimo from a commercial breeder as he just got too old to sell. He arrived tonight along with his larger brother Sir Fluffernutter thanks to his transport volunteers
