Duke: 5 year-old neutered male black Lab mix, 90 lbs

Meet Duke! Are you looking for an energetic canine companion who loves other dogs? Meet our big, lovable Lab mix who's ready to bring joy and playful energy to the right home! Duke’s owner recently had some career and life changes that made it difficult for him to keep Duke and reached out to GGLRR to help find Duke a new forever home.
Duke is a social butterfly when it comes to his four-legged friends - his whole face lights up at the sight of other dogs and he's proven to be a wonderful playmate at the dog park. His gentle nature with other pups makes him an ideal candidate for a home with another dog who can be his best buddy and playmate.
Duke’s owner says:
Duke is a 5 year old black Labrador/German Shepherd mix that our son rescued from the SPCA 5 years ago as a pup. Duke is a 90 pound very loving, gentle, friendly dog that would be great for any family. He is neutered and up to date with all vaccinations. Duke loves the outdoors chasing a ball or frisbee. He is potty trained and has a gentle soft mouth when taking treats.
Duke's Rescue Rep says:
Duke would be great for an active family with older children (10+ years) who can commit to providing plenty of daily exercise and playtime. He’d do best with experienced dog handlers who can manage his size and strength during walks.
He would do fine in a home with another dog - Duke thrives on canine companionship!
He likes to chase squirrels and cats so would not do well in a home with cats. Duke can get stressed when left alone for long periods of time so would do best when in a home where someone is around most of the time. He has done well at doggy daycare.
