Ducky (TN) Black and Tan Coonhound Knoxville, TN

Ducky is a beautiful 3 year old fun-loving girl waiting in the Knoxville area for a new home after being picked up as a stray. When Ducky first arrived in her foster home she was fearful of people, especially men. She quickly learned from the other hounds in the home that people are actually pretty awesome, as they have lots of food and tasty treats, give great ear rubs and, probably most important to Ducky, they take her on walks so she can use her wonderful nose! She is sometimes tentative when meeting new people, especially men, but she warms up with a bit of time. She rides well in a car, walks well on leash, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She will bark in her crate when she hears food bowls being filled or leashes being readied for morning walks. Ducky is reliably housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. She gets along well with all of the dogs in the foster home, but NO cats, please. Ducky takes her job of keeping all squirrels in the wooded backyard off the ground and high up in trees very seriously. No cats! She is in good weight at about 60 lbs.
