Weight: 16 lbs
Altered: Yes
Housebroken: Working on it
Good with dogs/cats/kids: Small dogs only please (please see dislikes)/Yes/Yes (older kids only)
Likes: Squeaky toys, chew toys, anything she can play fetch with. All treats, lick mat, squeaky balls, bones

Special Needs/Notes: One of her eyes was removed due to an attack in her previous home

Dottie is a loveable goofball that will keep you on your toes!
A playful puppy with a kind heart, Dottie is easy to love, and once you earn her love you'll always have a friend near by for cuddles-or an eager game of fetch!

Dottie turned a year old in February and still is VERY much a puppy! She is eager to please and does best with positive reinforcement and redirection when puppy energy gets the best of her.
Dottie has done well with pug friends and other small dogs, but is fearful of large dogs due being injured by a large dog in her previous home.
Dottie has more of an alpha personality and would excel the most being an only dog, or would also do well with a dog that has very laid back personality/similar play style.

In times where Dottie has been overly playful with her alpha pug foster sibling, her foster family has had no trouble calming things down with a firm reminder of manners (a quick loud noice for redirection) or a chew given for a chance for all to settle down.
Dottie may be far more active than your typical pug, but the pug food lover in her rings true and as such she can be quick to try and get second helpings of food/treats from other dogs- Dottie will need to be fed separately to be sure one portion of food is all she gets-and there are no battles for the last bite!

Did I mention Dottie loves fetch?? Because this girl LOVES fetch and will ask you to play again and again!! Dottie has a favorite squeaky ball she loves to play fetch with most, but is happy with all toys and enjoys both playing and cuddling them! Dottie will bring them outside, on the couch, and to bed at night too.. she lights up with joy when you're ready to play just as much as she is!! Perfect way to get that puppy energy out!
Dottie has been doing really well going on walks, and enjoys her nightly neighborhood watch patrol around the block, even with one eye she's always on the lookout!

Dottie is timid of people she doesn’t know but she warms up quickly when she knows she is safe and loved, a treat or two helps and an instant bff you'll be if you throw her a squeaky ball! The love she gives when she trusts can't be beat, she is a perfect cuddler and loves being near on the couch or when it's time for bed!
