Dorothy is such a sweet special girl. She is a tiny wiry haired dauchsund. She is looking for a very special home to take care of her special needs. She sadly has IVDD, a disc disease, that a lot of dachshunds suffer from. We were told that this has happened to her before, and she recovered well. But this time, her back legs are paralyzed. That doesn’t slow her down though! She loves to scoot around, and is pretty darn fast! She also loves being pushed around in a stroller so she can still participate in walks. She is indifferent with other dogs and the cat. She loves her person so much. She loves to be by her persons side. She does sleep in her crate all night and is crated while fosters are gone.
With her back end paralysis, she can’t always control her peeing & pooping, but does great in her diapers out & about in the house! Her amazing foster does help her fully empty her bladder a few times a day, which is an easy thing for such a special and loving girl.
Dorothy girl is looking for a forever home that can think outside of the box to help her as much as possible. She’s a great candidate for acupuncture, and we’re currently searching for a wheelchair that fits her tiny self. She is such a sweet girl and deserves the world ??
