I have been fostering Disney (Walt) since mid-January and he has blossomed into such a wonderful dog! During the first few weeks, he was quite timid and didn't make the best first impressions when meeting new people. We went through a six-week introductory training course (where he was the star of the group) and he has blown me away with his ability to recover from his past. He continues to come out of his shell and show off his skills now that he is comfortable in his environment! He is extremely intelligent, I taught him to roll over in 10 minutes and he retained it instantly. Genius!

In addition to easily learning new tricks, Walt already knows plenty of commands and loves to snuggle, play fetch, go for walks, or hang out in the backyard. He is also a master at treat puzzles! Walt is the ideal companion for anyone wanting to open their hearts to an amazing dog and enjoys training and engaging with a super smart guy. Maybe Walt isn't the dog you expected to fall in love with, but trust me when I say it's impossible not to! He is the most goofy, intelligent, and loving foster I've had thus far.

Walt has shown me how with love and patience a dog can recover from their trauma when their energy and anxieties are channeled positively! We've worked on socializing quite a bit and the difference from when I first brought him home and now is night and day. Walt is awaiting his forever home and family so he can prove how loving and loyal he is. He is ready to start his new life and create a lasting bond with the right family. As his foster, I'd love to see him end up in a home where his progress will continue to grow. I have invested a lot of time in continuous training, evaluating him in various situations, and most of all ensuring he is happy and healthy! I am more than happy to answer any questions for prospective adopters to ensure he ends up in his ideal forever home.
